 Intelligent Electronic Forms

Capturing data produced by another party is often a protracted and laborious process that frequently involves rekeying of information with a potential loss of meaning and accuracy. This is exacerbated when the provider is a separate legal entity and the information itself is complex.

Key Features:

Intelligent and dynamic - With self-adjusting fields that change accordingly to the information being entered. This saves on training and expensive staff costs because the form and content “drive” the user.

Legal - What is printed is a faithful rendition of what was displayed on the screen online, which makes them legally binding because the user is not presented with information that doesn’t make it to the final document and the PDF can be stored as a matter of record.

Data carrying - The forms capture and hold an abstract of the data within the [electronic] form using XML, which means that that this can be saved and stored, or emailed as an attachment or fed to a property management system.

Offline and/or online - Since the forms hold the data abstract within, they can be completed offline and submitted later.

Easy to use and task driven - The form, the content and the business context drive the process. Instead of presenting the user with dozens of fields and choices, the form uses previous answers to establish context and show only relevant questions to the user. Furthermore, users do not need to learn and use proprietary systems – it is more like booking a flight, or a hotel, or a car rental, by simply clicking and completing a web page – and the resulting PDF is a familiar format.

Free to external users - Calvis forms are based on either Adobe whose Reader is free and everyone has one, or on Microsoft Word, which also tends to be present on every desktop.

OSCRE ready - Calvis forms conform to the OSCRE format, the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate, that enables the real estate industry to work more effectively through the use of cost-effective, standardized and automated electronic information exchange.

Safe - The forms can be prepopulated and can be checked, validated and enriched before uploading them to production systems.

Technologies - Adobe LiveCycle Forms, Adobe Reader, Microsoft InfoPath 2010, Microsoft Word 2010, OSCRE and XML
