LexisNexis (www.lexisnexis.com), a leading provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, and Calvis, today announced their alliance to provide additional mobile functionality to LexisNexis® InterAction®, a leading Client Relationship Management (CRM) solution for professional service firms.

 

InterAction® for BlackBerry®, a unique application developed by Calvis, enables fee earners and mobile workers to conveniently access client and prospect intelligence stored within InterAction, via BlackBerry smartphones. 

 

Fee earners can now access client and contact information residing in the InterAction database from their BlackBerry devices.  This data can be retrieved whilst on the move, resulting in increased productivity; shorter business development cycles; improved levels of client service; wider internal adoption; and earlier return on CRM investment.

The solution uses network authentication and BlackBerry Mobile Data Service to ensure contact data remains secure.  Deployment can be completed in less than a day and existing infrastructure and security configurations do not need to be changed.  The application can be used on any mobile phone network.

 

The Calvis solution specifically allows users to:

·        Search a firm’s entire contact list;

·        Find all the contact that colleagues know at the target company;

·        View contact details including multiple addresses, phone numbers and emails;

·        View activity summary (for contacts and organisations;

·         Add useful contacts to My Contacts list;

·        Use one-click dial or one-click email from the returned contact

·         Add activities on the move.

 

Calvis’ expertise in developing solutions for the BlackBerry platform has been recognised by Research In Motion (RIM), which recently identified Calvis as a BlackBerry Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Alliance partner.  Through this accreditation, Calvis is gaining official vendor approval for its development work and marketing its solution to a much wider audience.  Uptake of the application has been particularly strong in the private equity and legal markets, and via these new relationships Calvis expects to make inroads into adjacent sectors.
